Summer Tennis Camp - Chugiak High School

Parents love our Summer Tennis Camps for their engaging mix of play and skill-building! Designed for kids ages 5–10, these camps focus on the ABCs of tennis: agility, balance, and coordination. With age-appropriate equipment and a game-based curriculum, children gain confidence, improve athletic skills, and make new friends. Grouped by age and ability, young players progress at their own pace, ensuring a positive and encouraging experience. No prior tennis experience is required, making it perfect for first-timers.

WHAT TO BRING:

• water
• sunscreen
• comfortable shoes and clothes, and a jacket/sweatshirt if the weather is cool
• snack
• towel to sit on during breaks
• rackets provided, if needed

For safety reasons, camp may be canceled, shortened or delayed due to rain as wet courts are a safety hazard. We use the Statusfy App to make it easy for you to get updates. You can check status by Clicking here for the Statusfy website, by visiting the RecTennis website, or by calling (541) 392-9206 to get current camp status information.

You can also download the app by clicking here. After downloading the app, scan the QR code below to get the updates for your camp's site. The app will provide you with the option to receive notifications to your phone regarding camp status.

· Select Star Icon: To add your camp's site to your favorites.

· Select Bell icon: To enable Alerts for that location. With Alerts enabled, you may choose how to receive alerts, via App or Email. Instructors may provide additional details on the camp status via Alerts. Alerts can only be managed via the App.

Statusfy is the best and only way to get up-to-date information when your camp may be canceled, shortened or delayed.

• Wet courts are a safety hazard.
• Summer weather can be unpredictable, and we often have to make last-minute decisions concerning camp status, but we will update Statusfy as soon as the decision is made. We will keep you informed!
• We do not provide child care if camp is canceled. Please make other arrangements for your child’s care.
• If rain arrives in the middle of class, please be prepared to pick up your child early. You will get a text/call from the instructor.
• You will not be receiving a phone call regarding camp status. Check Statusfy!

• Favorite Your Camp: Tap the Star icon to easily access your camp’s page.

• Instructors may post additional details about cancellations or delays in the app.
• Note: Notification settings must be managed through the mobile app.

• Wet courts are not safe for play and may result in delays, cancellations, or early dismissal.
• Summer weather can change quickly. We’ll update Statusfy promptly once a decision has been made.
• RecTennis does not provide childcare during canceled sessions. Please plan accordingly.
• If rain starts during camp, instructors may reach out directly via text or phone if early pickup is needed.
• All official updates will be posted through Statusfy.
